Hey everyone, this is your web guy.
00:02
Edward, Ferguson, Ceo and creative director at The
00:05
WebPage Site dot com.
00:07
So today is Tuesday and like I mentioned in the last
00:09
video, I’m gonna be talking about topics different topics
00:13
more frequently and I want to get to know you guys
00:16
better and I want to get to know your business is better.
00:18
So for the topic of today it’s going to be, don’t get stuck
00:22
on doing something just because
00:24
you’ve invested time in it.
00:25
Something no longer serves you. Just let it go and just
00:29
keep it moving.
00:30
So a lot of times in the web space we come across this
00:33
uh, constantly business owners invest a lot in their
00:37
websites and don’t get me
00:39
wrong, a website is an investment.
00:41
However, uh, sometimes the website is, you know, it’s
00:45
aged out of wherever it was designed for and your
00:48
website remember it’s this organic living thing, it’s
00:51
supposed to be a part of your team and it’s supposed
00:53
to grow with your business.
00:55
So as you’re growing your business, you just can’t
00:59
stand behind the product just because you spent
01:01
money on it.
01:01
Sometimes you may need to spend a little bit, excuse
01:03
me, invest a little bit more to help it, give it that nudge
01:07
to take it to the next level.
01:08
And one of the things that we can do is to ask or seek
01:11
some advice from our customers and employees.
01:15
So a lot of times people say, hey, could you send out
01:19
these surveys and say, could you give me feedback?
01:21
Well feedback is a bad word, at least in my vernacular.
01:27
Uh, you should really be asking for advice and the
01:30
reason is because feedback is something that’s
01:33
criticizing something that’s already happened.
01:35
Well, I don’t like the way this is
01:37
or I don’t like the way that is.
01:38
Whereas advice, you’re actively soliciting their feelings
01:42
and their opinions, they may say, instead of saying I
01:45
don’t like this.
01:45
Well, I would prefer if you move this button over here or
01:48
I would prefer if you change the colors of your of your
01:51
branding because it’s a lot easier for for my eyes or
01:55
prefer if you can make the font a little bit larger.
01:58
Anyway, today, let’s talk about it, Tuesday. I’d love to
02:01
hear some challenges that you
02:03
guys have within your business.
02:04
Is that , in the past you’ve stuck to that you knew you
02:08
had to let it go anyway.
02:10
Again, I’m your web guy. Edward Ferguson. I look
02:13
forward to your comments dropping below.
02:14
All right, guys have a wonderful and amazing day
